Social Text is a quarterly journal published by Duke University Press. Founded in 1979 by an independent collective of scholars and writers, the journal helped to establish cultural studies as an important new field of inquiry and published many groundbreaking articles by authors such as Frederic Jameson, Edward Said, and Ellen Willis.
Today the journal is run by an Editorial Collective based in New York City, and its editorial office is housed at Columbia University’s Institute for Comparative Literature and Society. Please find additional information about Social Text here:
